I get really dry skin all throughout the year especially when the seasons change. With fall on the brink, I can feel my skin already starting to lose its summer shimmer. My lips usually suffer the most. I had an at home spa day on Sunday (with the rain) and I decided to make a sugar lip scrub. It worked so great I thought I would share. You probably already have these simple ingredients in your home. If you suffer from dry or chapped lips definitely try this scrub. Even if your skin is not dry its always a good idea to exfoliate and rejuvenate. Its organic, easy and edible (if you want to take it that far!).
Needed: Olive Oil and Brown Sugar
Optional: Fresh herbs of any kind (I used lavender and mint) and highly recommend it.
Measure out 1 teaspoon of Olive oil and Brown Sugar and if you are adding herbs all you need is about 1/2 teaspoon finely chopped herbs.
Next, Mix all ingredients together.
Then, apply generously to the lips and scrub for about 60 seconds. If you are using fresh herbs when you will really smell the invigorating fresh aroma.
Lastly, rinse off with cold water and remove oils with a light face wash. Wallah, You have soft rejuvenated lips.
