The Ambassador, Chicago
I can’t resist I Simple white crisp beautiful and most importantly clean hotel. So it’s a no brainer that we like to book the Ambassador Hotel in Chicago. It’s in a great area which happens to be my favorite, the Gold Coast. It’s walking distance to major shops, restaurants, sweet shops, boutiques, department stores and a quick cab ride away to the zoo and museums.
All the rooms are simple and beautiful but if you get a chance to book one of their suites it is a must do! We stayed in the Frank Sinatra and were shocked at all the space, it even had its own dinning room! The room had a lake view and city view, the area doesn’t have the really tall buildings which actually I prefer. We were on the 15th floor which was high enough to get a good view especially because there isn’t a lot of other buildings obstructing the view. Even the regular rooms are fairly large compared to other hotels in the area. They are all mostly decorated the same with white walls, white linens, and very crisp and clean lines. I think of it as a cozy modern.
The hotel is kid friendly, they don’t go above and beyond like some and pack the room with welcome gifts for the kids but because I called and asked I knew I could just have milk and cookies sent up myself off their al a cart menu. The service was also fast and friendly and the room service food was really good! If your staying with kids I would recommend a single stroller because being an older building the door width was pretty narrow. We had to use the handicap elevator to get the double into the hotel which was a bit of a pain but all in all worth it for the beautiful accommodations. Writing this is making me want to book again! And I hope you do too!
All the above pictures are from the inside of our enormous room! The lobby and rest of the hotel is so beautiful I thought I would take a few pictures to show.
